At Home of Grace, we strive to balance our clients’ personal growth between the areas of spiritual, mental, and physical development. However, our top priority is to stress development and growth of the individual’s relationship with God through Jesus Christ in all three. Without this key accomplishment, we believe sobriety falls short of fulfilling a person’s purpose for living and will inevitably result in continuing emptiness.

One of the greatest challenges for the Home of Grace as a recovery program is to accomplish as much as possible in the short thirteen-week window clients are in residence at our facility. To maximize our stewardship of that brief time period, we have created a two phase program, with orientation during the first week followed by counseling each week thereafter to reinforce and to encourage the development of the new habits taught in the two phases.

We also target a baseline strategy for the physical aspect of our residents by stressing the need for self-discipline in the areas of personal habits improvement and also work ethic. In addition, we require participation in the Adult Education program for all those who have not obtained their high school diploma or GED.

The principle goal of our classes and counseling is to lay crucial foundations in client understanding of what is involved with Christian Recovery and having a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

After establishing a healthy foundation, we embark on a curriculum of classes and counseling is to prepare clients for their exit from the program by presenting the Christian walk on a deeper level and reinforcing new habits and new coping skills.

Most all counseling and classes are geared toward the Action Plan necessary for success after the program and also stress the deeper understanding of God and His purpose for life as a substitute for the old.
