The Truth About Weed
Marijuana is the most widely used illicit drug in the U.S. There are 3.1 million daily marijuana users. Common effects of marijuana use include rapid heart beat, slowed reaction time, blurred eyesight, lung damage, severe increase in cancer risk, and loss of memory. Even in small doses, marijuana stunts sexual development during adolescence and accounts for lower sperm counts in men and disruption in menstrual cycles in females. Marijuana contains 50-70% more cancer-causing agents than tobacco. Students who smoke marijuana, on average, make lower grades and are less likely to graduate from high school.
